Encouraging young people in our High Schools and Colleges in Northeastern Ohio through reading, to learn and better understand the Italian American experience.

Our culture, heritage and language is one of the richest in history.  IACF is committed to providing an opportunity to students at participating schools to read about their rich heritage and culture with a library provided by the IACF right in their school.  We also incent them to participate in our Essay Award Program whereby college students can win an award up to $1,000 and High School students can win up to $500 for submitting their essays to our independent readers panel at Lake Erie College.

In recent years, IACF has awarded an average of $20,000 annually for student Essays and Language Program winners.  We are proud to be a unique organization nationally and appreciate the support of our sponsors and grantors.
